In this situation, users are forced to filter their content by their access, of lack of access. If you are a student, you can log in with your username and password.
After logging in, users then can search the band below for news friends have posted and see who is online and available for chat.
Users are also able to customize what they are viewing at any point in time. They can pull up things like their calendar or can choose to exit it out and allow more space on their desktop.
