I agree with the point that graphic design is a universal language of form. Design isn't only for it's "beauty" but also for it's use in signs, text, symbols, etc. It's can be three-demential or two-demential. I agree with the first reading that it is important as a designer convey a message, intensify the message, and enrich the audience. That just pushes the message of how important graphic design should be and is.
